My current No.1 film

Just beyond compliments! This movie is just perfect! It is so entertaining, stunning cinematography, great music score, unbelievably REAL : best illustration of Indian real life and film culture... "Even how tough life is, it's still our choice to be a good person, and still we can dance..."

The coming back of YKPB...

Just like I've been waiting for all my life...
Finally, I've heard the greatest news... Yokee Playboy is now working on the next album to be released around October... The name of the album's still a secret... But certainly, the music will worth the time that we've been waiting for so long... YKPB has always been and will always be my number 1 band... for the music, lyrics and performance that can touch and speak my soul... my scars... and my smiles... Their music is the love of my life...

Andy Warhol :Portraits of the 70s

"Anyone can take a good picture. Anybody can take a picture"
Once again a "giant size" book caught my attention... And this time, it was Andy Warhol's book of his lifetime works. My most favorite section is the "Portraits of the 70s"... as I always love his portraits. In this book, there are tons of them and beautiful behind-the-shoot photos. Available at Kinokuniya, Siam Paragon...

Please come back... Pru

Last night Adam and I were invited to Sukie's house to see his TV show "Dream Chaser" with a bunch of his biker-friends... There we met both Noi and Sukie. On the way there, we listened to their CD again... and it still sounds awesome... not to mention the coolest creative art and style... Sukie showed us a VDO of their concerts.. And they really rocked MTV Asia Award stage where they got the award in 2002... Noi's performances thrill me everytime... This is one of the bands I really want them to come back and hear the next album...

Juno...

Juno: "Dad...I just need to know if it’s possible for two people to stay happy together forever, or at least for a few years."
Juno's dad
: "In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That’s the kind of person that’s worth sticking with."
It might be a bit late to talk about the film "Juno" ... But I've just had the chance to see it... So here it goes... OMG... It's so cutely entertaining , heart-warming, and absolutely hilarious... Definitely, the movie you have to take your girl to see... The screening's still on-going at HOUSE RCA, everyday at 2pm... Very cute soundtracks... (Listen now)
The Hollywood Reporter's critic said: "it's a funny, savvy, feel good comedy that reminds you why you fell in love with movies in the first place" ... And I totally agree with that...

NL talks: A birthday present to myself

Tomorrow is my birthday... And this is a birthday present to myself (apart from a teal Zara dress)... , and hopefully to all of you.

So many things have happened in these passed few years. At the age of 30, I have finally grown up. Here are what I have learned from my own life experience and lots of mistakes.

Career
1. Choose what you love to do... and learn all the skills required.
2. Be grateful to everyone who gives you opportunity and support.
3. Unless you have a good business mind, professionality and knowledge plus tons of money, do not invest.
4. Never commit anything you do not know for sure.

Love
1. Love is not 100% happiness. It is 100% more unhappiness guarantee. But at least it gives us hope. And hope is the reason that we wake up everyday.
2. It takes so much love to start a relationship. Because it will fade along the way to the end.
3. Humans make mistakes. Once you are in a good relationship, you must understand and forgive. And if you make the mistake, try not to repeat it. It is finally most painful for you to hurt the ones you love.
4. You will never find the right person to be with you, if you cannot be happy on your own.
5. Until you are sure that you can live with all the bad sides of the person, you are not ready to commit in a good relationship or a life-long marriage.
6. Love fools... Love hurts... Love blinds... Do not trust yourself. Listen to your friends.
7. Love is like a game... It is over when one of the two players stops playing. And you have to let it go.

Life
1. Harming others, Stealing, Adultery, Telling lies, Alcohol & Drugs: these 5 things can really put your life at risk of troubles and unhappiness. In case your life must involve any of them, you must have the ability to control your actions and consequences. And balance it well with your state of mind. (I'm not saying that i'm clean on this one ok? ^^ )
My missions
1. Be on time and prepared.
2. Contribute a lot more for the happiness of my parents.
3. Work harder.
4. Give more.
5. Make and save more money.
6. Learn more. Read more. Write more.
7. Care more about others.

Thank "you" for giving me "the picture".

And thank my true friends (esp. Jules and Nik) who've been giving me great support, patience and understanding along my very long learning process... So much tears... so many stories...so many phone calls.... so many years... I finally really understand what you've been trying to tell me, Jules. I'm finally happy on my own.

Scorsese's True Love

Find out about Martin Scorsese's true passion in classic Italian films in this 4-hour "My Voyage to Italy" , directed,co-written,narrated by himself. As an Italian-American, Scorsese has been touched and influenced by these films since his childhood. Making this film is like writing the love letter to the films he loves. It's one of the films selected to Italian Film Festival Bangkok, to be screening on this June 21 and 25 , 6.30pm at Lido 2... I won't miss it! The LoveNinjas

This is how they describe themselves in Myspace:
"Loveninjas are four or five Swedish boys in their mid 20's with dirty hair and black clothes.
They are determined to make love with Japanese girls and then write songs about it"
The Loveninjas is my new favorite band for their original style plus really nice tunes and lyrics. Check out the track "I wanna be like Johny C" from their 1st album "The Secret of the Loveninjas" (Sounds like my movie project "Secret of the Butterfly", but somehow gives totally different feeling 555) ... And this VDO is very funny... Track: "I'm really sorry"
